CARROT APPLE JUICE RECIPE
Required Kitchen Equipment
Step 1: Please take out your electric centrifugal juicer. Place the machine on a level, dry, and clean kitchen surface. With the juicer unplugged proceed to assemble the device. If the juicer has been stored away for a long period of time then be sure to wipe off any dust or debris with a damp cleaning cloth. I've had a few batches of juice taste like dust, so do be sure to do any necessary cleaning. Once the machine has been totally put together you can then safely plug it in to its power source.

Step 2: For this second step please wash and rinse your fresh carrots and apples under warm running water. As an optional cleaning method do be sure to consider spraying the produce with an all natural plant based produce spray. Produce spray is an excellent way to remove water resistant dirt, grime, insect feces, and harmful pesticides. Apply the produce spray to your fruit then rinse it off.
Step 3: For this third step you will want to cut your apples into quarters so that they fit into your juicer's feeder. If your apples are not organic then I would highly recommend that you remove the skin using a standard potato peeler. You should also use a potato peeler to remove the outer skin from your carrots, as this will help to create a much smoother and sweeter juice flavor.
Step 4: Please turn on your juice machine and begin processing your fresh apples and carrots. When pressing the carrots and apples through the machine, make sure that you're doing so very gently. Aggressively pressing the produce through the device could potentially break it or cause injury. Your liquid yield goal should be 8 to 12 ounces. Carrot and apple juice yield can wildly vary, so keep in mind that you may need to use more or less than the amount that we have called for.
Step 5: Once your juice collection vessel contains 8 to 12 fluid ounces, you can then turn off the machine. Immediately stir the juice until the color and flavor of it are completely consistent. If any foam has collected at the surface of the juice then go ahead and remove that without wasting any of the liquid. This juice tastes amazing garnished with a mint leaf and lime wedge, then poured over crushed ice.
Storage: This delicious carrot apple juice blend will stay fresh for up to 48 hours if properly stored. To store it place the juice into a sealable airtight container, ideally a juice jar. I would also recommend adding a teaspoon of lemon juice to the beverage as this will keep it fresh much longer.
Health Benefits: This carrot apple juice is loaded with vitamin and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin B6, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, thiamin, and manganese. Drinking this juice blend several times a month can help to increase the overall health of your immune system, vision, skin, hair, and nails. If consumed regularly fresh homemade carrot apple juice is also proven to reduce the risks for certain types of cancers.
