ORANGE APPLE JUICE RECIPE
Required Kitchen Equipment
Step 1: For this first initial step you should take out your electric centrifugal driven juicer. Set your juicer on to a flat surface such as your kitchen counter. Make sure the area where you set up the juicer at is clean and dry. While the device is unplugged begin assembling it. If you notice any dust build up on any of the juicer parts then be sure to wipe it away. Once your machine is clean and fully assembled you will then want to plug it in to a nearby power source.
Step 2: Thoroughly wash and rinse your fresh ripe apples and oranges under cool running water. I strongly recommend using any organic produce spray on the fruit before rinsing, as it will remove any bacteria, insect feces, or dangerous pesticides. Never use soap when cleaning your produce, even on the outer skin, as it can make you sick to your stomach.
Step 3: For this step please cut your apple into halves or quarters just to make sure that the fruit fits into your juicer's feeder. Apple skin is great to juice, however, I would only juice it if the apples are organic. To prep the oranges simply peel them and then break the fruit into small pieces. Do not juice the orange peel under any circumstances, as it will completely ruin the flavor of your juice blend.
Step 4: For this fourth step please turn on your electric centrifugal juicer. Next gently feed your apples and oranges through the machine. You never want to press the produce through the machine too aggressively, as this could potentially break the juicer. Continue juicing until you have 8 to 12 fluid ounces of juice in your collection container. Liquid volume within fruit can sometimes vary, so you may need to juice more or less than the called for amount listed above.
Step 5: Once your juice collection vessel contains a single serving of 8 to 12 fluid ounces, go ahead and turn your electric juicer off. Take out a spoon or swizzle stick and rapidly stir the juice blend until it's totally even and consistent in color and taste. Serve the juice poured over crushed ice and garnished with a mint leaf and orange wedge.
Storage: Your sweet orange apple juice will keep for 24 to 48 hours if you properly store it. I would recommend pouring the juice into a juice jar or some other sealable airtight vessel. Keep the juice in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.
Health Benefits: This orange apple juice is loaded with minerals and vitamins such as vitamin C, potassium, thiamin, folate, vitamin B6, vitamin A, niacin, copper, calcium, and more. Orange apple juice can boast your immune system, lower bad cholesterol levels, reduce your risks for both cancer and heart disease, and help to keep the kidneys healthy. To enjoy the many health benefits of this delicious juice blend you should try to drink it 2 to 4 times a month.
